吊钟花是华南地区传统名花和元宵花卉。文章介绍了吊钟花的观赏特性和广东的主要分布区、 实生苗培育和管理技术、圈枝苗培育技术；通过实生苗培育，3年生开花率可达75%以上。吊钟花可作为优良乡土新品种推广应用。

|
Enkianthus quinqueflorus Lour. is a famed flower in South China and widely used for celebrating traditional Yuanxiao Festival. This paper provided a general description of ornamental characteristics, distribution in Guangdong province, seed collection and treatment, seedling cultivation and management, and twig-coiling techniques for E. quinqueflorus. Three-year cultivation of seedlings led to the flowering rate being more than 75%. E. quinqueflorus could be considered as a new native variety of flower for extension and application.
